Springtime is skirt time

I want to find (or make) the perfect skirt pattern of which I can make many skirts in different fabrics and colours for everyday use.

This is the result of the first try with a pattern from Burda (originally with more details). I'll have to try it a couple of times before I can say if I'm comfortable in it. Next time I'll make it a little tighter at the waist and maybe a little shorter (now to right below the knee).

Fabric: curduroy, a light and soft one bought at Stoff & Stil.

Sleeveless wrap-top in pink and white

I wanted a new variant of a top and I’m satisfied with the result.

I combined the best out of two different patterns. The arms and body is like this one and to it I have added a wrapped V-neck like this one.

In addition I used different fabrics and colours.

Patterned tunic

Tunic in size 38. I like this fabric with different patterns, like a patchwork. As a contrast brown waisteband and sleeves.

Dress for me

A dress with slightly trumped-shaped sleeves.

Home-made pattern, 84 cm long in size SE 38.

I like stripes

I like stripes and t-shirts with sleeves in another colour... Another long sleeved t-shirt in my favourite pattern, this time with stripes in blue, yellow, red and white. For me, a little mix of Swedish and French. Children size 108.

Little Owls

A long sleeved shirt in children size 108. Turquoise with printed cute owls and dark brown arms. The pattern is from Ottobre 03/2008: Octopus t-shirt. Originally with short sleeves and in size 98. I have added long sleeves and made it bigger, mostly by just adding centimeters to the length.

Cars everywhere

A colourful long sleeved t-shirt for little car lovers. Children size 98.

I have made the arms to look like a t-shirt above a long sleeved one.

Bikini/underpants

This model could be used for swimsuits or underwears depending of the type of fabric. I have made the pattern out of my favourite bikini pants. The seam is a decorative stitch on my sewing machine that could be stretched without breaking. The thread used is Wooly Nylon.

Stretchy seams

When sewing in fabrics with an extra stretch (like swimwears etc) I like to use this special thread, Wooly nylon. With this in the upper and lower loopers of the Serger machine you get really stretchy seams.

T-shirt in blue, white and flowers

This t-shirt has a blue body (front and back) and a white fabric with flowers on the chest and arms. Women size Medium.

Little Roo

Disney inspired t-shirt with Roo embroidered on the chest and arms with Mickey ears. Children size 86.

Tunique in blue and flowers

Here is another tunique with arms of 3/4 length, size Small.

Paw Power

A couple of years ago I bought some cotton fabrics with athletic club logos from different American universities. I bought them here in Sweden at "Olssons Tyger och Stuvar".

Here is a pair of Bermudas shorts with Clemson University Tigers (I have now learned that Clemson is located in South Carolina after a Google search). The shorts is in children size 86.

Another pair is the one with Winsconsin Badgers.

Mickey Ears T-shirt

A t-shirt with Mickey Mouse ears, children size 86.

Sweatshirt trousers

Trousers in children size 98. It's a common model, to make them a little more original I've made them of two colours, blue and brown, with striped cuffs.

Elephants in a row

Long sleeved t-shirt in white and blue with cute elephants. Children size 98.

Tunique in summer colours

A tunique in size Small. The arms in fresh green are of ¾ length.

Winnie the Pooh

A long sleeved t-shirt with Winnie the Pooh. One of the pre-installed embroideries in my Brother sewing/emboridery machine.
